Whenever I hear about “fusion” music I get a little worried because pulling off something complicated is not everyone’s cup of tea and most of the musicians become over-ambitious and mess things up a bit. But this was not the case with Progress’ “Luv U Bad”. The song is a masterpiece that manages to bring out the good from both the worlds of 80s dancehall music and modern vibe and drum and bass.
