Luke Borchelt considers his discography to be his journal where he keeps a record of the various happenings of his life. His stories are mostly based in Maryland, where he belongs from. He is an incredible storyteller and can make you feel engaged in his narrative through so many poetic devices and writing techniques. He makes sure to put a piece of himself in his art and that is what makes his songs sound authentic and relatable to the listeners. His music has a hint of country influence, DMV hip-hop and also pop music on the likes of artists like Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes. His musical journey started very naturally when he started writing songs to share with his close friends and family after he taught himself to play the guitar at the age of 23. His inspiration comes from a range of artists, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Frank Ocean, Atmosphere, and Tyler Childers

“Every Rain is a project that can make you feel deeply and summon your tears to prove that you still have a soft spot inside. It is a reminder for you to stay connected to your roots and follow what you are passionate about.”
‘Every Rain ‘ is an incredibly heartfelt expression that features stories from Luke’s life and the emotions that he felt. I consider this album to be a great anchor point to draw parallels with your own life as it would reveal many little things about yourself that you might not have known or paid attention to. The album is extremely personal for Luke as he laid bare his story in the songs. Two songs from the album- Every Rain and Itchin’ gained support from the editorial playlists on Apple Music’s New In Country and Soundcheck, Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Country, and Spotify’s All New Country. This has led the album to reach many new ears and the audience welcomed the song with open arms. One of the main messages that the album carries is that people can easily live an extremely fulfilling life in the place they are from by embracing their roots and adding value to the lives of people around them. Luke pulled this project off by listening to his heart and taking a big step of moving back with his parents and giving music a final go. He received local support from people for Maryland and also the bars and restaurants of the place.
