‘A Road Without Any More Detours’ is an album that can be considered the essence of Erick Duran Manard’s two years of musical expression. It was released on 12th October, 2024. The album is based on Manard’s life and the struggles that he encountered along the way, his experiences and the victories he claimed over the challenges that life threw at him. The project came out straight from the heart and Erick made sure to be as real and original in the album as he could. The inspiring stories and descriptions of his personal experiences give us a source of hope. Erick has gone through some really hard times in his life and the insights that he gained from these events shaped the album. He went through a divorce and struggled with money during COVID-19 so much so that he became bankrupt and had a near-death experience that changed his outlook towards life. After so many hardships, he managed to make it through and he considers this to be a sign from God for him to keep going. The album is a storyline of Erick’s life and in it, he talks about personal growth, faith and perseverance. “I sing about my weaknesses and triumphs so that Christ’s power may rest on me,” 2 Corinthians 12:9 is the inspiration for the album.
