When it comes to defining 9 o’clock Nasty into a genre, it is extremely difficult. But, quoting them, they are ‘a grunge-hop, post-punk, death-disco mashup act’. Each song is surprising and unique in its own way. These bad boys are having fun with their music while still not forgetting to give out an underlying message with their songs. This fact is true for their latest single- ‘Bad Vegan’ too. We shall explore more on that further.

“These boys are incredibly creative and brave with their art. Their ‘trash the rules’ attitude might not be liked by some but that is what lets them test the boundaries of their art.”
Thematically, the band has talked about the irrelevance and impossibility of being a vegan in this day and age. Both, in the sense of eating meat and harming our fellow human beings with our act of just existing. Sonically, the song goes hard af. From the start, the distorted guitar sounds and the heavy drums will get your vibing. The vocals are loud and sound extremely saturated. The different layers of the vocals and the different tones used interact with each other to create a very enjoyable track. The band tells us how they threw the rule book in trash before creating this track but later crafted it to fit the criteria of a song.
