Josephine Assayech is an exquisite vocalist, singer and song-writer from Switzerland. All her life, she has been surrounded by varied musical influences. Her Italian, Persian and French roots shaped her music very much. In her early life, she was exposed to mainly oriental music. As a child, and a youngster, she became a part of the youth choir of the church music school in St. Gallen, Switzerland and trained to become an immaculate singer. Her childhood training enables her to effortlessly touch the higher notes while singing and giving an out of this world experience to the listeners. Her sweet smooth voice enchants the listeners and introduce them to a fresh and unique musical experience.

Mountains starts off slow with some high sustain chords and Josephine’s fabulous voice. Eventually, the beats come in and she plays with her vocal dynamics to provide some incredible ear-candies throughout the song. The song talks about how she doubted herself at a point but it took some time for her to realize that she is worth everything that she has desired. The song is incredibly powerful and empowers the listeners to build resilience against self-doubt and hard times. A song that I would love to start my day with, for a positive mindset.
