Carl Liungman is a seasoned Pianist from Sweden, Västervik. He is well known for his ability to bring out the classical piano sounds in a modern canvas. He is a neo-classical musician. His pieces carry different stories and tell it out with just music and no words. Some are dramatic, others are sad while some are cinematic and draw inspiration from pop tunes. He found his love for the keys and learnt Jazz Piano. He combines elements of Jazz with classical Keys playing style. He knows how energies work and his music has the ability to mold how you feel with different energies. With Love, Loss and Directions as the central themes, Carl is creating some really amazing masterpieces. With harmonies, Carl creates a vast atmosphere through his songs.

Change is a piano based instrumental album. The songs are soothing and easy to listen. The tracks do not put strain on the listener instead relaxes them. The calm vibes are sometimes sad too. However, the sounds are so comforting and wholesome. One of my favorite tracks from the album is ‘Final Days’. The song has a melancholic vibe to it. The smooth key work will hit your heart directly. The chorus on this one is pretty catchy too.

‘Father’ is another track that brought me much joy while listening. The song starts off slow with the chords. The pace is maintained in the song and the song gives a very structured, calm and laidback feel. The next track after this one is ‘Survivor’. This one is a more intense tune. The Keys go faster and the notes carry bit more tension and swing. The contrasting section where the song slows down gets us ready for the next, more energetic and fast section.

The self titled song of the album is placed at the end. The later half of the album is more intense and the first half is more sad and laidback. The flow throughout the album is seamless and the songs transition one to the other very smoothly. Each track is a story in itself.
