Ralphy’s music is a modern take on the retro music scene. She makes songs across genres and is an astoundingly versatile artist. She breaths in energy and soul into the beats with her heart-felt vocals. She makes smooth R&B tracks, retro synth inspired disco jams, 80s style songs and much more. She is known across LA for her gracious energy in both her records and her live performances. Since her debut in 2016, she has just been winning hearts. 1974 is a fusion track that draws inspiration from various musical genres as they were perceived in the 70s. The track starts off with a country music section which sets a tone for a grand and heroic song but the script flips at the beat drop. We are introduced to a highly punchy funk track right after. The song also draws inspiration from rock for the hook section. The song celebrates and is an expression of sadness at the same time for the lost era of beautiful musicality. The lyrics go ‘Wishing it was 1974…’ expressing the urge of the artist to go back in time and experience that golden era.
