Lounna goes by a very beautiful line ‘staying soft in a hard world’ and that pretty much describes her music. Her songs might not always be talking about a positive or joyful theme but there is a magic in her voice that brings more hope to the heart and sooth to the ears. She makes songs that are inspired by genres like soft-rock, indie, Americana, folk and alt-rock. Each song is a fusion of various music styles expressed in Lounna’s homegrown style. Her new artistic era is characterized by songs that talk about dealing with hardships in one’s life and the significance of hope even through the darkest roads.

Alpenglow means the reddish glow that you see when the sun sets or rises in the summits of the mountains and that is exactly how the song will make you feel. Lounna is dealing with a harsh situation in life where in her husband has been diagnosed with cancer and in this song she tells us about how the fear of loosing a loved one creeps in and ruins one’s mental health. The soft-rock vibe soothes the soul and creates a very melancholic yet comforting vibe. The banjo work in the song stood out for me and sounds extremely good.
