Candi Staton is someone who does not need an introduction. She keeps the classical pop style alive with her tracks. With an iconic voice and powerful lyrics, I cannot help but be obsessed with her energy. Each song brings hope, brightness and faith in the listener’s hearts and it would be fair to say that she has had a highly positive impact on the world. Her musical career has been vast and across various different genres.

Young Hearts Run Free is a beautifully paced track with instrumentals from the 80s. Candi Stanton’s vocal delivery is on point as always and sets a dark yet hopeful atmosphere. The solo trumpet section sounds incredible. The hook has been crafted beautifully and will stick long after you listen to the song. It is an easy-listen track and you can play it on long-drives, on a Sunday morning or in a bar-be-que party. The song empowers women and gives them power to hang on and deal with the harsh situations that life throws at them. This is such an iconic track and will stay evergreen till the end of this civilization.
