Denim Dan is a band with a long long history. It was formed in 1996 by four music enthusiasts and friends- Jeffrey Edge on Lead guitar, Ted Shinn on Keyboards, Gary Mitchell Flori on Drums and, Michael “Denim Dan” Halitzer, on Guitar & Vocals. Their debut album- ‘Your Foreign Town’ was released under the label Orchard Records which is a subsidiary of the Sony Music Group. As time passed, unfortunately, they lost two of the band members- Jeffrey Edge and Ted Shinn to the arms of death. In 2014, the current formation of the band, i.e. Dave Gellis on Guitar, Gordon Kent on Keys, Mike Nirack and Joe Nuecome on Bass, Lorenzo Crescibene on Drums, Ron Petrecelli on Flute, Joey Simpson on Harmonica and, Michael Halitzer [aka] Denim Dan, on Guitar & Vocals; started working on new material. Sine then, they released several projects totaling to seven studio albums.

As mentioned above, the band has released seven studio albums till date. These classics feature some really smooth pieces. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the band and to give you a taste of their craft, they present you with their album ‘Denim Dan’s 25th Anniversary’. The album is a compilation of twenty songs from their previously released albums. They operate in the classical soft-rock genre. The band’s major influences are- Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Steely Dan, Tom Rush, Ricky Nelson, The Beatles and David Bowie. These influences can be seen in the band’s music. They bring a very raw and unfiltered take on various themes through their music. Their song comes with hope and a lot of stories that solidify this hope. One such song from the album is ‘Life Has Just Begun’. This masterpiece will leave you with a stronger faith in the world and a deeper understanding of the eventualities of life.
