Richie Harrison is an exceptionally talented artists who blends genres like he created them. He operates in the post-punk Rock and Garage Rock genres while borrowing elements from various other genres and music styles. Some of his music revolves around unique themes that provide a commentary on the socio-political and cultural scenario of the country. He is a brave artist and puts forward what he actually thinks through his music. The role of art in our society is not very often justified by the artists of today’s day and age. However, Richie is one of the few artists who create music with a deeper purpose.

The Rope is an alt-rock tune that starts off with a vintage sounding drum loop and guitars that are full of a peculiar energy. The song gives me a vibe of an ongoing endeavor to find purpose and truth. The rhythms used in the song- both instrumental and vocal are so damn intense. Each section brings more energy and you will be hooked to the track till the very end. The Artist is actually talking about the current election scenario and comments on how he feels that there is no contestants whom he thinks is fit to be elected. This brings to light a huge problem of the lost hope in the country’s governance.
