Christopher was once a part of a small-town student band called “Labi Rance” which played gigs in small venues around Chemnitz, Germany until they disbanded in 1995. Their music was captured on a four-track cassette player, and those recordings are all that remains. After 25 years, in 2020, he gave a shot to music again despite his struggles with technology using computerized home recordings. While full Labi Rance reunion seem unlikely, former drummer Geoffrey M. Svalbard is back, and Christopher has been collaborating with musicians like Michael Engels and Silke Natho, as well as in a project called “SYLVATIC BLACK” with Miriam de Silva.

“Christopher Labi Rance’s latest track, “Northbound Track” is a story unto itself told with utmost precision and finesse!”
Christopher Labi Rance’s recent release, “Northbound Track” is a melting point to nostalgia and contemporariness: the classic rock and modern rock. The vocals hit and hit hard with the insane energy that doesn’t leave your mind. The guitar riffs are pure melodic magic. And along with the background integration, the track brims with emotion and intensity. Every beat, every chord reveals that it comes from a band whose connections are as tight as their musical passion.
If you like listening to music that pulses with energy, this song is a must-listen for you!
