A musical mirage: Marc Soucy’s recent single, “Drifter in Paradise”

Marc Soucy’s musical journey started at the age of three when he started taking private piano lessons and remained loyal to his passion for the next eleven years as he received his formal training in classical music. Then he embarked upon creating his own music in his late teens. Marc has meandered through various musical styles: progressive rock in his mid-twenties, then electronic music and jazz piano, latter of which he studied at Berklee College of Music. From 1997 to 2011, he worked as a self-employed music producer. Marc philosophy is that music has the power to evoke and express a plethora of emotions.

“Marc Soucy’s latest track, “Drifter in Paradise” is a journey through the wild, wild west of the soul!”

Marc Soucy’s recent release, “Drifter in Paradise” is the second single from his “STIR” series. The song immerses the listeners in a “spaghetti western” landscape as it narrates the journey of a cowboy searching for his own life, tale imbued in haunting ambiguity. This evocative piece carries an undercurrent of Marc’s intentional eclecticism. The haunting melodies translate into a sense of vast, open space making us ponder on all the what ifs of our life, all the times that we wished things had been different.

If you like listening to songs that feel like a tumbleweed of emotion, you should definitely listen to this song!
