Peter Xifaras is an exceptional talent as he is a composer, guitarist, and producer whose versatility is striking. Peter excels in both the realms crafting intricate compositions and delivering guitar solos. His music has resonated across hundreds of radio stations and has enjoyed over a decade of rotation on SiriusXM, underscoring his significant impact on the industry. He has won laurels in the form of multiple awards including American Prize in Composition & Social Justice and achievements and a TELLY award, topping the Billboard Classical and Crossover charts. His discography includes genre-defying nature. His innovative symphoneX Orchestra project is a prime example of this collaborative spirit. He collaborated with legendary jazz trumpeter Shunzo Ohno on the album “Fusion”. His talents extend to the cinematic realm as well; he is poised to score the next feature film production by JawDoc Productions.

“Peter Xifaras’ latest release, “Dystopian World” is a tour de force that immerses you into a different world from start to finish!”
Peter Xifaras’ recent album, “Dystopian World” is a musical manifestation of George Orwell’s iconic novel, “1984”, tackling issues of surveillance technology, suppression of free speech, information manipulation, censorship, privacy erosion, propaganda and the value of truth etc. It exudes the vision that a world fraught with freedom and equality, might not actually be the utopia we imagine it to be. The album features seven tracks that skillfully draw parallels to Orwells’ dystopian vision. The opening track, “Tears of Humanity” explores the slogans “War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength”. The track, “DeHumanization” emphasizes on the interrelation of language and thought corrupting each other. “Dreams of a Utopian World” explores the notion that “in a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act”. The final track, “Dystopia” examines “the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both”. The music is incredibly beautiful, and extremely purgatory. The concept is masterfully interwoven in the storytelling. Each track is a narrative in itself, making a powerful statement in its own right.
If you are a fan of classical music, or dramatic narratives, you must definitely give this album a listen.
