Repeat is a talented Swedish stoner rock trio that took to the musical scene with their self-titled album just six months ago. The initial release quickly gathered critical acclaim from tastemaker media both in Sweden and on the international stage, making them the rising stars of this genre. The band consists of three talented musicians who share a common passion for stoner rock and this is pretty clear in their powerful live performances. Repeat captivated their audiences with their live show at Malmo on 22nd May and their stage presence was absolutely electrifying. They have their calendar lined up with gigs in Sweden, promising fans more opportunity to hear their music live. Repeat’s knack for delivering engaging masterpieces reflects their growing hold on the rock music scene.

“Repeat’s latest album, “Rat Race” is a commendable narrative arc unforeseen in rock!”
Repeat’s recent release, “Rat Race” meanders through the realms of stoner rock, punk and post-hardcore. It is their most intense and energetic work till date. In just nine songs spanning a total of 18 minutes, the band creates a euphoric soundscape that immerses all your senses. The album kicks off with a punch and then follow the unforgettable hooks and brooding vocals. Each song delivers absolutely raw rock energy, but Repeat do not fail to make them coercive by balancing the lyrics and instrumentalization perfectly with the other elements. The opening track, “Man on the Moon” introduces that unrestrained caffeine-like energy and it doesn’t dwindle throughout the album. The almost echo-like vocals titillate your senses and the more you concentrate on them, the deeper you are engulfed by the music. The eponymous track, “Rat Race” truly shines with its head-banging beats that could blow life into any party! “Wasting My Time” closes the album on a lighter note but the rhetoric lyrics separate the song from the rest. The entire album is like a trance, an absolute banger I say!
If you like self-reflexive rock songs, this album is the perfect fit for you!
