Robert Vendetta draws his inspiration from various genres of music and presents his musical pieces with some hint from the music he listens to. This has enabled him to create and stick to a unique and arguably untapped genre of music called the ‘Retro Pop’ or how he calls it sometimes, ‘Modern Old’. His sounds are vintage but the groves are modern and catchy. He basically blends feeling in his songs of which his album, Vendetta Del Disco is a great example of. He maintains a particular persona through his work (especially his music videos). A passionate dude sometimes found in a red shiny suit, dancing to his own tunes with ecstatic expressions and a level of energy you cannot resist. He wants to make people listen to the music he himself enjoys, that’s what he makes and that’s what he delivers.

“A passionate dude sometimes found in a red shiny suit, dancing to his own tunes, presents the world with his retro pop album ‘Vendetta Del Disco’.”
On the first listen, the album gave me visuals in my head of a club in the 80s with hundreds of people dancing to the same grove and singing along Robert’s lyrics. This kind of music is pretty rare in the music scene today. The album is full of variety where Robert flexes on his versatility.
The album starts with the single ‘Main Man’. The melody is suspenseful with a dancey beat that makes you want to move and get onto the dance floor. Another significant track from the album is ‘Vacation’ where in Robert describes a relaxing and fun-filled vacation. The hook says “…It’s time for your vacation…” suggesting the listeners to take a break and dive into the amusement of a holiday get-away.
The album features some more other than club bangers, for example, tracks like ‘Fool’ and ‘Here & Now’ are more towards the self realization side and the style of music compliments the same too. If I had to describe the album in just two words it would be intense yet fun. Listen to the album to find out.
