Sofia Dragt yet again breathes life into melody with her new song “I Live After I Died”

Sofia Dragt is an artist from Netherlands, Utrecht who has cultivated a dual identity as a music artist and a composer. She creates music, documentaries, short-films and media. She has worked on a Dutch documentary called ‘WAD’ with Ruben Smit and it was aired in 2020 on Dutch national television and another documentary, ‘De Schatkamer van de Veluwe’. Creating art is what defines Sofia’s life. She enjoys impromptu trips like her recent one to an island near Bodo, Norway. For her, travelling is akin to the track of a film. Her music offers viewers a chance to see the world through her lens.

“Sofia Dragt’s latest single “I Live After I Died” is human experience laid bare.”

Sofia Dragt’s new song “I Live After I Died” is a New Year’s treat to herself. Its creation lies deep within the artist’s heart like a tiny stream of expression flowing from a reservoir of emotions. The song is the outcome of a fleeting moment of frenzy delving deep into essence of life and personal growth. Created on the keys of her cherished Schimmel piano, the song is a living composition enriched by layers of depth and texture. With its delicate balance of harmony, melody, and emotion, the piece finds a place somewhere in the midway of the ethereal melodies of Olafur and Arnalds. The vocal range of Sofia mirror the ebb and flow of tension and release that characterize life. A rare composition indeed!

If you like listening to songs that envelope you in a lush, this song is a must-listen for you.
