Point3Nine is an eclectic music project based in Canada. This uniquely talented project never fails to create something very exclusive to the project, yet it manages to pierce your bundle of emotions. Each work of the project has its own vibe and artistic versatility is clear to the ears. The project focuses on an array of musical styles, taking its inspiration from rock n roll, old-school hip hop, soul funk, jazz, and the list goes on. Point3Nine yet again breaks all the industrial norms with its latest album High Rollin which leaves you wanting more of it.

High Rollin is an 8-track album by Point3Nine and each song is worth listening to a hundred times. The Album is heavily based on magnificent guitar work with elements of various jazz/hip-hop instruments complementing the amazing skill of the guitarist well. The Album takes inspiration from great soul jazz music of the retro era, throwing in inspiration from old-school hip hop as well, which is very audible in “Smooth Criminal” which is my favorite out of the album.
When I first heard the album it made me think of a Guy Ritchie movie and we all know how good all the soundtracks from Guy Ritchie movies are. You can tell from the music style that the artist has this chaotic yet very beautiful outlook toward the world and the artist’s intense emotions are showcased through electrifying guitar riffs throughout the album. While Smooth Criminal is a song that would make you groove to its tunes the other single “Heat” from the album has a very tense feel to it making it perfect for setting the bedroom mood with your partner. This Album especially comes as a surprise because the artist’s previous album “The iLLest” had a completely different vibe and style than High Rollin. Forget about the Albums, you can see Point3Nine’s versatility even within the album “High Rollin” where each song is uniquely special and distinguished from the other tracks of the album. The way the music is put together and the songs are arranged in the album, it almost feels like a magical spell. Listen to the entire album at one go to experience the musical woo-doo the album has to offer.
