Tides of the Bloom by Julian Petrin: A cinematic song with emotional depth.

The German-Italian composer Julian Petrin has been working on a body of music for over 30 years, and it is now undergoing a process of piecemeal re-recording. Julian Petrin’s music connects the modern electronic scene with his early influences from the ’80s and ’90s. Coming from a jazz background and being influenced by impressionists while studying piano, he found early inspiration in the works of musicians such as Gary Numan, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jean Michel Jarre, and Art of Noise.

“Tides of the Bloom conveys depth of the emotions through a master level production”

Pulsating synth sets the tempo and meters of the song right from the start of the track “Tides Of The Bloom”. The music develops to hypnotic climaxes, evoking a dramatic and engrossing cinematic soundtrack. The track carries the powerful energy of the waters, pulling you towards it. The instruments and the melody along with other elements of the track have been layered so gracefully, which gives a very rich and intense texture. The production is at the mark. The voice of the women in the background gives an angelic touch to the music. Not trying to exhilarate my words, but one can sense a part of Hans Zimmer’s energy in Julian Petrin’s “Tides of the Bloom.”

As we go into the new year, “Tides of the Bloom” hums along with a reflective melody that is perfect for musing. Catch the muse down here:
