From humble beginnings as a jazz practice group, the band found their style after immersing themselves in progressive rock and the melodies of Porcupine Tree. The future of Velcrocranes lies in this new, broader path.

“What If I Die is an album singing the stories of life and beyond.”
“What If I Die” is a hard rock album with killer vocals, gritty guitars, and a DNA soaked in nihilism. It was released on 27/10/23. According to the band, the 9-track project roots evolve with each hearing. They intend to make a comparison to how your views on mortality, morals, and the purpose of life evolve during your lifetime. The album’s pre-release singles—”Step Aside,” “Hold Your Breath,” and “Afterlife, Pt. 2″—reflected this goal statement. Among them, the band delves into the timeless conflict between intolerance and acceptance as well as the terror of the unknown.
As you listen to each track on the hard-rock album What If I Die, you’ll be surprised and delighted by the myriad influences it draws from. In addition to the band’s jazz background, electronic and prog-rock influences are audible to listeners. Catch the muse down here:
