Night’s Bright Colors (NBC) is a musical venture started by Asheville, NC based singer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Smith in 2003 in collaboration with a dynamic lineup of friends and collaborators curated by Jason himself. Smith ‘s musical ingenuity is also manifested in the songs that he has written for film, television and theatre. NBC has a vibrant discography with the combination of elements of indie pop, electronic, folk, classical, ambient, and experimental music that leaves an indelible mark on its listeners.

Brainchild of Jason Smith and recorded, mixed and produced by Kevin Boggs, Night’s Bright Colors is a beautiful compilation of 11 exuberant upbeat indie pop songs that compel you to snap your fingers and tap your feet. The compilation is reminiscent of the 1990s independent movement in the vein of Elliott Smith, The Shins and Built To Spill. All the tracks offer a fresh yet nostalgic experience but the absolute highlight of the album is its closing track “Blush” which starts at an epicenter and explodes softly as Smith’s smooth vocals melt into your senses and you start feeling afloat!
