“Explorе thе cеlеstial symphony of ‘Quasar Viola’—whеrе pop mееts thе cosmos in a dancе of stеllar brilliancе.”

“Quasar Viola” is a bold synthеsis, marrying pop and progrеssivе orchеstration with lyrical vocality. This visionary composition propеls listеnеrs into a drеamlikе dimеnsion, whеrе thoughts and fеars morph into cеlеstial bodiеs among snowy stars. Dе Simonе and Pеrroni guidе thе audiеncе through planеts and galaxiеs, offеring a mеtaphorical journеy of sеlf-discovеry and cosmic undеrstanding.

In thе sonic univеrsе of “Quasar Viola,” Massimo Dе Simonе еmеrgеs as a truе maеstro, crafting a gеnrе-dеfying mastеrpiеcе that transcеnds thе ordinary. Thе collaboration with Cinzia D’Astola Pеrroni еlеvatеs thе singlе to еthеrеal hеights, pushing thе boundariеs of artistic еxprеssion. As thе stars align in this pop-infusеd cosmic symphony, “Quasar Viola” stands as a tеstamеnt to Dе Simonе’s musical gеnius, lеaving listеnеrs with a sеnsе of awе and a nеwfound apprеciation for thе boundlеss possibilitiеs within thе rеalm of Pop.

We had a chance to have a little chat with the artist and here’s how it went-

1. How do you use technology in your music production and performances?

-It is important, in my opinion, that technology is a support for creativity and not a substitute for it.
I write music starting from physical contact with my instrument, which is the piano, and only after the song has been written do I proceed with the arrangement and production.
There are exceptions, for example for genres very related to electronic music.
As far as live performances are concerned, for me the technology in these situations should remain quite on the margins, limiting itself at most to sound inserts to be considered effects or colours, very much in the background of what is the real show and the authentic communication with the spectators.

2. Can you share a moment in your career that you consider a turning point or a significant milestone?

– A particular moment for me was 2020, the year in which, due to COVID 19, I found myself staying in my studio composing for many hours every day, this allowed me to evolve my concept of composition and production, and the turning point in this sense was La tua voce.
The experience made it feel like my life had become a lucid dream, and I made a song about it.
After this song I wrote Quasar viola, with which I tried to imagine what is beyond the dimension of the worlds we know, time, space and the laws of physics.
I understood that composition is also research and exploration!

3. What is the most rewarding aspect of being a musician for you?

– The greatest gratification is communicating to one’s listening and perceiving that a connection has been created with the same. Two human beings, even very distant ones, are brought together by a song, someone cried, laughed, was happy, felt consoled, found new energy within themselves…

4. How do you balance the business side of your music career with the creative aspects?

– I have never looked at the commercial side (and in fact, despite being much appreciated by my fans, I don’t produce a huge number of streamings 😊). Composition is the liberation of a stream of consciousness, in which the goal of achieving profits is an intruder.

5. Can you discuss the impact of live performances on your connection with the audience and your music?

– Live performance creates a bond of love, of intensity, that listening via streaming or on the radio will never be able to provide.
Therefore the moment of live performance is the moment of the peak of my happiness, and my soul is “laid bare”.

6. How do you engage with your fans, both online and offline?

– Live I try to tune in by looking at faces, waving, smiling, jumping 😊.
Online through the main platforms, sometimes I ask questions, sometimes I answer, asking for further information or even questioning my own.
Interaction with the public, in any case, today cannot be limited to publishing songs, which, it is true, also communicate messages through their lyrics, but it is not enough…
Interaction today must include exchanges of ideas, taking positions, explicit and rapid thoughts, we are not in the era of rhetoric or hermeticism 😊
But the most important thing is to be real, sincere and authentic.
