ARO (arrow) is a Los Angeles-based American singer-songwriter. She spent a good chunk of her youth in Pennsylvania and went to art and design school in Philadelphia, despite the fact that she and her family travelled about a lot when she was growing up. ARO uses her art as a means of transmuting her demons and is candid about her struggles with mental illness and the inner workings of her creative process.

“I Fall in Love Too Many Times transforms into an uplifting voyage of introspection.”
The opening instrumental of “I Fall in Love Too Many Times” is charming, and it quickly establishes the song’s reflective tone. The listener is drawn into Aro’s reflective world as her soft voice glide smoothly over the soft electronic music. Her singing seems to come from another planet, adding to the song’s ethereal vibe. Lyrically, Aro investigates the complex connection between her neurodiversity and her several romantic encounters. She tells the all-too-familiar tale of being completely enthralled by something, only to crash and burn under the weight of unrealistically high hopes and feelings. Aro’s ability to mix these vulnerable and introspective observations with a feeling of maturation and self-acceptance is what makes “I Fall in Love Too Many Times” stand out.
This song has a dreamy, electronic sound that really pulls the listener into Aro’s headspace. The reflective lyrics are well set against the aural background of delicate, throbbing rhythms and ethereal synthesisers. Catch the muse down here:
