Gloom Girl MFG is a strong and irrefutable force in punk rock, indie rock, and they’ve emerged from Nashville, Tennessee’s thriving music scene. In an age of widespread despondency, Gloom Girl MFG seeks to foster a sense of community and long-term perspective. Their songs bravely explore the complex interaction between individual vulnerability and shared experiences in a dynamic society.

“Gloom Girl MFG is a solid pack of both powerful and dull emotions.”
“Factory” is a 4 song lengthy EP. Mid-tempo rocker ‘Litterbug‘ does a terrific job of sliding the song into softer/gentler portions and then builds to a screaming riotous cacophony that would please anybody who simply likes fucking strong music. “My Brother’s Meds” is a heartfelt and introspective song about the difficulties of dealing with a loved one’s mental health or addiction, as well as the complexities of family life. I “Hope She Knows” is a harsh depiction of the ups and downs of love set in the 1970s. Even after the bass drum goes thud thud thud thud, the passion and energy are still there. “Side Stitch”, the EP’s last tune, depicts feelings of loneliness, transformation, love, and lost possibilities. A lone, gentle guitar strum leads into an emotionally raw and unforgettable vocal performance. It’s the album’s last tune, and it’s a quiet, sombre ballad that’s perfect for contemplation. The slower tempo doesn’t diminish the genuine passion and strength of the delivery.
A band with great potential, Gloom Girl MFG is definitely a must listen and highly recommended EP. Check out the link below.
