“For All Time” is a song that encapsulates the significance of enduring love and affection and its presence amongst anyone and everyone. It articulates the satisfying and comforting feeling that comes from holding one’s loved one close and just lying there beside them or the cosmic and fulfilling feeling of caressing one’s child, kissing their tiny toes and cheeks, or any other form of profound connection between two people full of pure sweetness.

Catch A Muse Down Here:
We had a chance to have a chat with the artist and here’s how it went –
- “For All Time” is a unique blend of R&B and lullaby, making it suitable for both children and adults. What inspired you to merge these genres in a children’s song?
Answer – I decided that this year I would push the envelope a bit more. I love traditional lullabies, but I also think children need to be exposed to all types of genres of music – as long as it’s age appropriate. I also wanted something adults wouldn’t grow tired of. When I heard the music for this song, I knew I could make it work!
2. Children’s music often follows a traditional style, yet you’ve taken a more contemporary approach. What motivated you to create something different in the children’s music genre?
Answer – My parents were elementary school teachers and so we sang a lot of kiddie songs at home, but music fans are demanding more complex, contemporary sounds. Gracie’s corner and Snoop Dogg are putting a hip hop spin on children’s music. I figured trying a R&B perspective would be new and interesting.
3. Could you share your thoughts on the role of music in a child’s development and how your music contributes to that?
Answers – Music is the ultimate form of communication. For children, it’s a powerful learning tool that can be used in many ways. We use music to teach the alphabet and grow vocabulary. It can also soothe us and serve as prompts to clean up or get ready for bed. Music also provides a means to express our feelings. I write a lot about love because it’s important for children to feel secure emotionally. My lullabies create calm spaces and I find that we need more of that in a hectic, busy world.
4. The song’s title, “For All Time,” suggests a timeless quality. What message or feelings do you hope listeners, both young and old, take away from this song?
Answer – I wanted “For All Time” to express the blissful feeling a parent, grandparent, or anyone has when they first look at their child. It’s instant love. You can’t stop staring at them. You want to hold them and can’t seem to put them down. My daughter Zoe is 11 and she’s brought so much joy into my world. The joy doesn’t end when they’re older. Once you love a child, you hold that love in your heart forever. That’s what I hope people feel when they listen to this song.
5. You have an expansive ear for various music genres. How does your diverse musical background influence your songwriting and the way you approach creating music?
Answer – I listen to a lot of ambient music, jazz, soft rock, gospel, and pop. Doing so helps me to be a versatile songwriter. I write all types of genres for other artists and I find that merging elements from different genres makes a song more unique. “For All Time” is a ballad, which is typically not seen in children’s music. It’s exposing kids to soul music and providing adults something they can groove to as well! I plan to keep mixing things up and creating original music that’s fresh and fun.
