Reaffinity’s latest album “Tethers” is a blend of rock, indie, alternative, metal, post-grunge and post-punk. It’s a thought provoking sonic journey consisting of 7 tracks, It opens with a short 50-second instrumental intro titled “Stake” that prepares you for the journey that’s about to follow. The second track is the first song on the album, the title track “Tether”, a riveting rock song that opens with electrifying guitar riffs that charge you up. A pulsating bassline paired with punching beats drives this song forward, keeping you hooked throughout.
“The album’s eclectic fusion of music envelops the listener in a warm, melancholic embrace that must be experienced by all.”
A track that stood out for me was “Later On”, It features painstakingly beautiful lyrics that resonate with poignant sincerity, reflecting a struggle to escape from inner turmoil. “Closest Town” is perhaps my favourite track from the album, it portrays a sense of restless wandering. It’s a song that captures the yearning to escape and find solace. “Golden Hearts” exudes a sense of isolation, yet it’s paradoxically comforting. The album’s eclectic fusion of music envelops the listener in a warm, melancholic embrace that must be experienced by all.
