Hailing from Italy Polemica is a 4-piece international thinkrock band that has a penchant for challenging societal injustices and stimulating thought-provoking inquiries. Their upcoming album, …and now… reminds me of Charles Dickens famous quote, It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…, because this album captures both the spring of hope and the winter of despair. It is a thought-provoking album that showcases so many topics in a very raw and vulnerable manner.

The album opens with the track “paranoia” which instantly captures your mind and makes you experience paranoia and psychosis by creating an atmosphere of palpable tension through the haunting vocals and the eerie music. The lyrics delve inside the mind of a paranoid individual, and the track comes to an end the same way it started, with repeated chants of “paranoia” Struggling with a bad habit? Don’t worry, polemica understands your struggles; wait until you hear “bad habit”. A track that really stood out for me was “it’s out time”, Its anthemic nature will charge you up to revolt. “war is anachronistic” is another rocking track that offers a riveting listening experience.
The album comes to an end with a soulful ballad that soothes your mind “tranny me”. The entire album will be out on September 30, so keep an eye out for this mind-bending album.
