‘Grub Street’ by The Muster Point Project explores heartbreak through harmony

“Grub Street” is the third release on The Muster Point Project’s 5 song EP and will appeal to the fans of multiple genres, it’s a lot like The Travelling Wilburys in that manner. “Grub Street” is a story driven break up song which vividly captures the emotions that one goes through during a time of such turmoil.

“Although exploring an emotionally heavy theme of heartbreak, the song offers an ethereal listening experience with it’s heartfelt lyrics and intricately layered instrumentation.”

The song opens with punchy beats and country-esque mandolin riffs by the Percussionist Marcelo Effori which drive the song forward, immersing you into a blissful auditory experience. But what makes this song a must-listen are the extraordinary lyrics, written by the Canadian Novelist, Geoff Moore. He has done a commendable job writing this soul stirring song. The vocals are warm and welcoming, they comfort you the instant they fall upon your ears. Oleg Pisarenko ties this whole song together with his accordion along with drummer Taylor Allum. My favourite line from the song is “I can’t draw to save my life on Grub Street But I can paint a picture of you”. Although exploring an emotionally heavy theme of heartbreak, the song offers an ethereal listening experience with it’s heartfelt lyrics and intricately layered instrumentation. “Grub Street” is a nostalgic sonic journey that must be experienced by all. You’ll surely have this song playing on loop, so give this mesmerising break-up song a spin today.
