The tracks in ‘Magma’ harbor a spectrum of elements, including slow, dark synth progressions, quirky-mindful-endless percussive combinations, vivacious trance beats, distorted edgy house tunes, and much more.
Since the beginning of his time, Electrohead has released infallible records solo as well as in collaboration with other great artists, Audiokult-Extraordinary Records from Vienna, Flexibilia Recordings & Publishing from Munich, and Thinkbabymusic Collective from Athens, to name a few. The artist has embodied his dedication to his career by composing soundtracks for art exhibitions, experimental theatrical performances, and short animations.
Starting the first track of the album with a whispery distorted voiceover, transcending into a trance loop of deep synth bars and beats in no time, is the perfect beginning for the hunger the album would leave you within the succeeding 30 minutes. The slow, trippy rhythms of ‘Stw’ and ‘dooU’ are a combination of pulsating tones and thumping electronic tunes and sound almost brain-altering. The series of high and low frequencies infused with juicy sonic patterns are astonishing, enrapturing, and sound inhumane. The psychedelic tone and overlapping robotic elements in ‘Bark Life’ and ‘The Cat & The Balloon’ create an astral dimension inside your mind.
The influence and inspiration for the fabrication of this album were drawn from nature, ancient Greek tragedies, and the contemporary life environment, all of which reflect noticeably brightly in the pulse of the tracks.
