The Dust Collectors’ Outside In: A rollercoaster of melodies and emotions.

Matt Easton, Steve Rozitis, Scott Stolee, and Luke Giblin are the fragments of the folk-rock band The Dust Collectors. Hailing from Calgary, Canada, the band is like a four-piece puzzle, fitting into each other perfectly, and without even one piece, the band is left incomplete. Spreading through the flames of their two EP releases, The Dust Collectors are overwhelmed to share the absolute pinnacle of their coordination, ‘Outside In’, the band’s debut and latest album. Recorded with the enthusiasm and elements of all four members of the band, ‘Outside In’ is an unblemished fourteen-track endeavor with country, folk, and rock music poured carefully into each of the records flawlessly.

“The Dust Collectors’ groovy rhythms trap you into their irresistible potion of chants and harmonies.”

Commencing with ‘Shoulder Season’, a pulsing country song perfect to instigate dopamine in the listeners’ brain, the album moves onto a darker ballad called ‘Murder, I Wrote’, – a story of a boy stuffing the girl’s body in the back of his ride because she broke his fragile heart. Further exploring the album, we find a maritime folk melody ‘Take a Dive’ and a classic country-infused rock record ‘Flush & Plumb’ revolving around the chaos of life, and ‘Dandelions’ – a sweetest confession of true love, the one that makes you feel like running through a field of bright and colorful flowers, picking up the perfect ones in blossom and placing them between her flaunting strands of hair, and live there forever.

Each track of ‘Outside In’ brings out the skills of the band in distinct ways, overflowing with fiery guitar riffs and lyrical elitism.

The Dust Collectors execute songwriting as a team task, blending together unique, contrasting series of phrases with a folky-country flavor dissolved in their work. All of the band’s project injects a feeling of melancholic bliss into the listeners’ ears. The alternating fast and slow tempo of the album creates a calming yet restless fog in the air. The band’s choice of adding all four of their voices alternatively has made sharing lead-singer obligations and making fluid-like synchronized, four-part harmonies become the band’s standout feature of their ever-increasing creations of harmonies.

‘Outside In’ is a notable sonic kaleidoscope that will make all kinds of music critics fall in love with its serene symphonic tunes nurtured with the most pleasurable vocals.
