TerraTara is a singer/songwriter who has been lucky enough to have citizenships of both USA and Canada. She commutes between Slocan, B.C. and Southern Oregon. She owns a cabin off the grid in the mountains of British Columbia. She draws inspiration from nature and her surroundings, her music reflects that.

She is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, mandolin, piano and all types of percussion. She started out with guitar and continued to write many compositions throughout the 2000’s, later she switched to Mandolin as it was easier to travel with. During her travels, busking her way through countries she picked up melodies of traditional Eastern European, Middle Eastern, Indian, Irish, Folk and Reggae music. She imbibes all these elements in her music today, her single “Forward” is a perfect example of that.
From the get go it becomes evident that this song will be unlike anything I have heard, as it opens with many diverse instruments playing together creating a light and funky atmosphere for the listener, but as TerraTara’s vocals kick in you are hooked. The song is about Moving forward and not looking back or letting your past hold you back.
