Occurrence comprises of Ken Urban (electronics), Cat Hollyer (vocals) and Johnny Hager (vocals). Ken Urban must be commended for the fantastic job on the music which transports you to another world of listening experience. “Packed with 22 electrifying tracks Slow Violence is an intense album that will blow you away.”

“Put this album on right now and embark on a journey which will be unlike anything you have experienced before.”
In the opening track “Blossom forth” it is evident that this band is a rare “Occurrence”. Their music is unlike anything I have ever heard before with thumping beats and bold synths, the track is a precursor to what you can expect ahead. The distorted vocals followed by acoustic guitar riffs and somber vocals, then the thumping beats kicking in again was euphoric, it made me close my eyes and I found myself fully immersed in the song, my only complain is that it ended, take my word for it when I say you’ll have this album on repeat. The lyrics portray an end of a toxic relationship in the lines “We’ve reached the end, That much is clear”.
Another standout track for me was “Anonymous Data Call”, it makes you ask yourself the difficult questions and introspect, all of this beautifully tied by it’s enchanting music of course. There are so many amazing tracks that you just have to put this album on right now and embark on a journey which will be unlike anything you have ever experienced before.
