Spence Paull | Bergamo

Spence Paull is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and music producer who uses her musical abilities to create songs spanning genres. At a very tender age, Spence has performed on some of Vancouver’s grandest stages, like the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and Nat Bailey Stadium. She began composing and recording her music at eleven years of age, shortly after training with Juno winner Angela Kelman of Farmer’s Daughter. She later secured a Choral Scholarship with the University of King’s College Chapel Choir under the guidance of six-time Grammy winner Paul Halley. Since recording it in her undergraduate dorm room in 2012, her cover of Michael Bublé’s “Home” has attracted over 138,000 listens on SoundCloud. She released more covers and original pieces to SoundCloud before switching to mainstream streaming services in 2021.

“Get your Heart lyrically arrested by ‘Bergamo’- A popping banger dropped by Spence Paull.”

I recently came across this song titled Bergamo by Spence Paull. The song portrays beautiful lyricism showcasing love. Paull travelled from Canada to Italy to meet a woman she had been chatting with for 6-months on Hinge. As a result of her love life, “Bergamo” was born. Unapologetically human lyrics grace the track, and the upbeat 1970s style welcomes unfiltered euphoria. The song shows heartfelt affection with superb lyricism. The song’s production is polished, expert, radio-friendly and commercially appealing. The seamless blending of layers of electronic and acoustic instruments creates an immersive audio experience.

Overall, ‘Bergamo’ is an enticing pop song, a worthwhile listen for anyone struck by the cupid’s arrow.
