By claiming a genre that we would not typically think of as a fertile source for community innovation, the group, Telgate, which emerged from the pastoral areas of Wales, also advocates a loud and unapologetic queer identity.

The second single to be released in what seems to be a significant and prolific year for the Cardiff-based rockers, ‘Gammon’ is the newest offering from Telgate. Since they started sharing music in 2019, they have been active, but we haven’t gotten a cohesive body of work from them until now. Judging from this, we can expect big and wonderful things from them.
