Emma Hunter is a musical force to be reckoned with. Approximately four years ago, singer-songwriter Hunter paired up with percussionist Tom Bruce (both equally successful in their individual careers) to create a unique, powerful sound for the masses. We have followed Hunter and Bruce since 2021 enjoying their complexity and intricate music, and now there is another single to be enjoyed – ‘Morire’.
‘Morire’ crosses musical borders and carries you along with Hunter’s powerful vocals. The vocal performance, which reaches deep into your soul and tugs at your heartstrings, alternates between audacious high notes and seductive whispers throughout the composition.

While the music can stand its own and throw you into a sonic vortex, the depth of the poetic lyrics also sends you spinning. The Italian term “morire,” which means “to expire and fade,” perfectly expresses the song’s provocative message. The song, which examines human vices, encourages the listener to view this problem from the perspective of the partner of a person who is drowning and disappearing in their own vices. It examines the root causes of failure that cause someone to “fade away and lose who they truly are.”
