Jacob McCurdy, a moustachioed Mainer, creates his own distinctive style of Indie-Americana by fusing Folk, Rock, and Roots music. Love, heartache, joy, and the ideal moment are all set against a luscious background of genuine harmony. McCurdy shares his personal experiences in the hopes that they would help others who are going through similar things to start healing.

“McCurdy’s distinctive fusion of Indie-Americana, imbued with genuine harmony, offers a cathartic and intimate portrayal of love.”
When McCurdy thought the world needed more love, he penned “Feels Like Home,” a song about falling in love with someone who makes you feel at home. During the Covid-19 pandemic, McCurdy started to get bored with penning depressing songs. McCurdy yearned for the cosy comfort of love and friendship once more as he was getting over a breakup.
McCurdy, Alex Calabrese, and Phil Holub penned the song in response to this urge to recount the tale of falling in love on a back porch during the waning golden hours. Jacob McCurdy has done a lot for his music in the past, including placing second at Seabrook Idol in 2021, supporting Dzeko, and headlining a local tour.
I highly recommend giving “Feels Like Home” by Jacob McCurdy a listen, as it’s a beautiful and soulful song that will make you feel right at home.
