Marcus Crede (Kreatur and others) and Peter Svensson created The Killing Tapes in 2020 (Mary Celeste, Hello Heartland). In the fall of 2020, Marcus gave Peter the lyrics and the demos, and they started working on the music right away. They started writing and recording the songs for the album Black after realizing early on that the songs were of such high caliber and significance.

And now , the Swedish duo, The Killing Tapes ,have returned in 2023 with their enchanting new EP “Falling Down (Blue)” following the release of their acclaimed debut album “Black” and its follow-up EP “Falling Down (Yellow)” last year.
This new five-track album is a definite continuation of their earlier work and is a very warm and welcoming listen. ‘Falling Down (Blue)’ solidifies them as one of the more alluring names on the rise right now by capturing more of that lovely and gentle electronic direction they have been developing for themselves ever since they first debuted.
As evidenced by “Falling Down (Blue),” they still have a ton of original and entrancing concepts to delve into. We are eager to hear what else they have in store for us in the upcoming months because they have such a deep and lively approach to their music throughout.
