British singer-songwriter S J Denney is based in Essex. Being introduced to vinyl versions of The Beatles’ White Album and Neil Young’s Harvest at a young age led him to fall in love with music. S J used to sing in the choir and gave performances at various locations in his area. Learning to play the clarinet was his next step.

“Shadows In The Night captivates the listener through eloquent harmonies and intricate melodies.”
Although music theory offered him a strong foundation, Denney quickly made the decision to concentrate his efforts on teaching himself how to play the acoustic guitar and writing songs.
“Shadows of Night” rapidly creates its ambience during a flamenco guitar solo that introduces us to the plot and the ambiance that S J Denney will guide us through. With a traditional flamenco cadence, more guitars and percussion soon join a lone guitar. The story of an unusual encounter that may or may not have tragic implications is then started by S J Denney.
Gianluca Cucco’s muted trumpet solo, which alludes to a desert and a far-off place that stretches all the way to the horizon, is how the Spaghetti Western first appears. “Shadows of the Night” demonstrates how S. J. Denney tells stories through both his music and lyrics. With every chord, harmony, and melody, it communicates to us. By doing this, he imbues each of his songs with a sense of life and luscious vibrancy.
