The Boston music scene is abuzz with the sounds of Mad Painter. Their upbeat songs and energetic live performances make a name for themselves. This talented group is by Alex Gitlin, a gifted songwriter with unforgettable melodies and lyrics, Backed by drummer Al Hendry and bassist Kenne Highland. The new addition to the band is guitarist Al Naha. With his electrifying solos and dynamic stage presence, Al Naha brings excitement to the Mad Painter sound. Together, these four musicians have played in various line-ups and venues around the Boston area, including MIT, Out of the Blue Gallery, McGann’s, Hennessy’s, Club Bohemia, The Jungle Community Music Club, and C Note in Hull.

“Splashed” is a classic rock revival with modern twist.”

I recently discovered this new album from Mad Painters titled Splashed. It begins with the track ‘Illusion,’ which sets the tone for 70’s rock. Tight musicianship and excellent songwriting reflect through songs like ‘Parting Line, Lie to Me, Rock and Roll Samurai and I Live for Love’. These songs exude energy and enthusiasm. They show their range on tracks like ‘Friend In France’ and ‘San Michel.’ Both are more mellow and introspective tracks. Soaring choruses and memorable guitar riffs make the whole album worth it.

Overall, If you are seeking a nostalgic trip down memory lane or a classic rock buff, ‘Splashed’ is here to satisfy you.
